Aligarh Development Authority (ADA) will get the work of electrification and earth filling done in Transport Nagar of Aligarh at a cost of Rs 9 crore. A tender has been floated for this.
The pits of Sector-5 of Transport Nagar will be filled with soil at a cost of Rs 204.98 lakh. This work will have to be completed in nine months. Similarly, electrification in Transport Nagar Scheme will be done at a cost of Rs 706.74 lakh. After filling the soil, shady plants will be planted on the main roads. RCC tree guards will be installed for maintenance of plants. ADA Vice President Apoorva Dubey said that earth filling work will be done in Transport Nagar in 9 months. Within 18 months there will be street lighting on all roads.
Electric poles will be removed for road widening for Rs. 6 crores
Under Aligarh Smart City, work will be done for widening of about six km long road. Electric poles, wires and transformers will be removed. The Public Works Department has floated a tender for this. The four-lane road from National Highway-34 bypass to Phal Mandi is to be widened and beautified, for this the electric poles will be removed. This work will be done for Rs 225.98 lakh.
Executive Engineer Yogesh Kumar said that electric poles will be removed from Fruit Market intersection to Cotton Mill intersection. This work will be done for Rs 160 lakh. Electric poles will be removed from cotton mill intersection to Nada bridge. This work will be done for Rs 249 lakh.
